Gregory Floyd: Pastor

God first called me into ministry when I was 17 but I decided to do my own thing and joined the Army. Much like Jonah, I knew what God wanted me to do but I went in the opposite direction. At age 34, I thought I knew what God wanted and started going to Damascus but like Paul I was going for the wrong reason. Then at age 50, I understood God’s call for me to use the gifts and talents He had given me as a preacher and I started working through the process to become a pastor.

I have been serving God as a United Methodist pastor since 1997.   I completed the UMC Course of Study in 2005 and became an Associate Member of our Annual Conference in 2007.

 Cecelia Law: Administrative Assistant

Cecelia Law has been part of our congregation for many years as a member and currently keeps our office humming.  Whether you are stopping by to help fold the worship bulletins, make a reservation for using the building, or just to say hello, you are sure to receive a warm greeting from Cecelia.

Norma Mattos: Organist & Choir Director

Norma Mattos has been part of the music staff here for 60 years! She was obviously very young when she began playing the organ- so young she couldn't drive herself to church!  Norma is well known through out the Atwater community for her playing and teaching skills and provides a link between the congregation and many families during the various celebrations of life, from weddings to funerals.  She plays every Sunday at the 10:00 am worship service.

 Marijo Blasinggame-Lyell: Lead Pianist:

Marijo brings her musical talents to us as our Lead Pianist.  She accompanies the Chancel & Wesley Choir during our Sunday morning worship services.  Additionally, she plays special services including Ash Wednesday,Maunday Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve.

Bob Garcia: Custodian

Bob comes to us after many years as the head custodian at a southern California school district.  He is responsible for the overall cleaniness of the building and grounds and minor repairs to buildings & equipment. Bob also asists in setting up rooms for special events.

Gloria Waters & Katie Trieweiler: Nursery Attendants

Gloria & Katie are our nursery attendants who have been trained in CPR/ First Aid and care greatly for the children.  Parents are always complimenting their calm attitude with the children.  Every Sunday, the nursery opens at 9:30 am so you are able to get your younger child settled before worship begins. Children up to age 4 are welcomed in the nursery.  Older children attend worship with everyone else until it is time for Sunday School.  Childcare is also provided for special events when requested.
